Provincetown Schools Appoints New Superintendent
The Provincetown School Committee is pleased to announce Mr. Paul Teixeira as the newly appointed Superintendent of Schools, effective July 1, 2025. This appointment is subject to successful contract negotiations.
The committee unanimously voted to appoint Mr. Texeira, currently Director of English Learner Education and Title III for Medford Public Schools, MA, on Friday, March 14, 2025, during a specially scheduled board meeting.
The committee would like to express their deep appreciation for all of the effort community members - from students, to staff, to parents, to neighbors - contributed to making this process successful.

While Mr. Texeira has big shoes to fill, we believe that his extensive experience, steadfast commitment to the IB philosophy, and proven track record of building relationships between communities make him an ideal fit for our school.
